*[Another](/book/43248)* was first serialized intermittently between the August 2006 and May 2009 issues of Kadokawa Shoten's literary magazine *Shosetsu Yasei Jidai*. *[Another 2001](/book/43250)* was also first serialized between the November 2014 and February 2020 issues of the same magazine.
In the afterword of *Another 2001*, the author revealed he had a concept for a planned sequel, which would be the last in the series, though he also stated he'd like to take a break from the series first.
Adapted into a four-volume manga, with a fifth spin-off volume titled *Another 0*, by [Kiyohara Hiro](/staff/3435).
Adapted into a 12-episode anime by P.A. Works.
Adapted into a live-action film directed by Furusawa Takeshi and produced by Kadokawa Pictures.
