JNC is a digital-first publisher meaning all its titles are released as e-books first before selecting titles with the highest digital sales to print physical copies. On April 28, 2021 J-Novel Club was purchased by [Kadokawa Corporation](https://ranobedb.org/publisher/9). At Anime NYC 2022, J-Novel Club announced it was entering into a new collaboration with [Yen Press](https://ranobedb.org/publisher/41) to publish print editions of their titles.
